Peace Everyone, thanks so much for all of your comments. This is what I love about the Internet; it allows a space/venue for shared ideas and expressed thoughts! I so appreciate all of your comments. Let's continue to pray for one another and pray for all leaders in position of power around the world!
Hello Reverend Williams,
First of all I agree with everything you stated. I might have said it differently, but that does not negate your words.
Secondly, I must apologize to the 'prophet of God'. I assumed by the first part of their post they were saying that to get into the Kingdom you must be baptized with the Holy Spirit. While being baptized and anointed with the Holy Spirit is to be greatly desired, it is not a requirement to be saved. However, after re-reading the post, I see that they separated 'having the Holy Ghost' from 'being baptized in Jesus name'. Therefore, I would now agree with their requirement to get to heaven. I still wonder about their prophet status as it doesn't take a prophet to figure out the state of our condition, as you so eloquently pointed out.
Now, as for the way in which I have addressed Lynn Pinder: It is obvious that she is an avid supporter of President Obama. According to the forum rules, I am not to get into a political debate, and I do not want to alienate Lynn. Instead, I tried to show my support for what I believe the President has done right, while starting a conversation on what I believe he has done wrong.
Since I am white, I am even more conscious of the racial issues this subject brings up. I love the idea of having a black president and would have gladly voted for J.C. Watts, and did when he ran in the primaries a few years ago. So when I question the direction of President Obama, I get angry at the people who call me racist.
Like you, I do believe that he is moving our country toward a one world government. But unlike others I have read on this website, I do not believe there is nothing I can do about it. My prayers are fervent and effective (James 5:16) and God will prevail. I have said elsewhere that my calling is to educate others to the Word and how it applies to today. But I also said that I must listen before I can speak. Otherwise I am just talking to the wall.
You are a very wise man sir. I am a black male, and I too would vote for a black or white man or woman, as long as their walk is in line with the word of God. I too believe our prayers can change all things, to include our present state. Please continue in prayer for our nation and leaders. May God bless and keep you. May He pour out His blessings upon you, and cause you to walk upright, and endure in these last days.
