I got this in my email. I wanted to share it with everyone. It's from Dutch Sheets.

Dear Tara,

November 6, 2008

I feel certain that many in my stream of the Church want a statement from me concerning Tuesday's presidential election. I will be frank in my remarks but I do not, however, intend to vent anger or attack anyone. I have read several statements from friends and colleagues I respect very much.
Their thoughts are well stated and, for the most part, insightful. None of them, however, seem to want to say some things that I believe need to be said. I do not claim infallibility or to have the final word, but my convictions run deep and I believe I bear a God-given responsibility to share them.

Was This God's Will?

Was what happened Tuesday God's will? I am quite confident it was not. America was offered a very clear choice between moving further toward protecting the unborn or further away; between a Supreme Court that would move toward honoring God, life and morality or away from it. The stakes couldn't have been higher nor the cost greater. As a nation we put on blinders concerning Barak Obama's background, associations, beliefs and practices, and set these causes back years, possibly decades.
And in doing so we took another step away from God and His plans for America, and another step toward judgment.

Judgment Will Increase

This is not a fire and brimstone warning from an angry, legalistic preacher. In fact, I feel more sadness and grief than anything else.
Perhaps I feel what Jesus felt as He wept for Jerusalem while announcing its judgment. I am not hoping for judgment; I am saying it is inevitable. I don't know where the unbiblical belief comes from that says a nation can live any way it pleases, can reject God and His ways-even mock Him-and not receive His judgments. Nor do I know when the belief came that it is always mean-spirited or judgmental to warn of these things. To the contrary, I believe it is our responsibility.

In warning of judgment, I am not suggesting that God is going to intentially and directly hurt people. Much judgment is simply the absence of God's protection and provision, caused by a rejection of His laws and ways. We have been experiencing some forms of judgment in America for years, but God in His incredible patience and mercy has kept us from the level we've deserved. I believe this will change to a degree and judgment will now
increase:

For those in the Church who aligned themselves with pro-abortion forces, I believe judgment will result.
For leaders in the Body of Christ who refused to take a stand for fear of losing people, money, and tax-exempt status-I believe there will be a degree of judgment.
For those, both within the Church and without, who voted money over morality-a potential raise or better health insurance over the life of a baby-there will be judgment. (The irony is that this decision to base one's vote on the hopes of a better economy won't produce the hoped for result anyway. The scriptures teach that it is righteousness which exalts a nation and that the nation is blessed whose God is the Lord.)

I have heard the argument that God cares as much about social justice issues (such as poverty and racism) as He does abortion, making a vote for Obama OK. I certainly believe God puts a very high priority on caring for the poor and I, too, have wanted to see equality demonstrated through a "minority" president. But to equate having a better income or the desire for a first black president, regardless of his positions on abortion and morality, to the issue of killing 50 million babies is not justice-it is a gross distortion of justice and great deception. I fear that we have been desensitized to this issue of abortion. I believe it kills babies and takes innocent life. I also believe it is blood sacrifice that empowers demons. Let's not forget this in our noble attempts to be kind and conciliatory.
For African Americans I can easily see how it could bring healing to have a first black president, just as it would be for Native Americans to achieve this or for women if a woman were elected president. Again, I have wanted to see justice in this way. I am only saddened that the price for this healing ended up being Barak Obama, a man that will set the cause of life and, most-likely, our God-given destiny as a nation back so drastically. (I also realize there are some who interpret any criticism of Obama as racism. Racism is so NOT what I am about nor what I live, that I will not even dignify any such accusations with a response.)

What Can We Expect?

What are some of the judgments we can expect on our nation from this election?

More economic woes
More violence in an already violent nation
Disease and death (satan, who is responsible for these things will have greater inroads to our nation.)
Natural disasters (weather-tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, drought; fires; earthquakes; etc.)
Terrorism (they will fear us much less now)
War, perhaps on our own soil
Judgments relating to the Court. The stacking of the Supreme Court against the sanctity of life and God's influence on America will occur, which will in turn cause the shedding of more innocent blood, more rejection of God's laws and the stealing from us of our godly heritage-all of which will perpetuate a cycle of even more judgment.

How Did This Happen?

I've been asked if this could have been averted had there been more prayer. I'm not sure. I believe there was a remnant of Christians fervently praying over these elections-I don't think there was anything more they could have done. Others, obviously, should have done more. The complacency and lack of discernment concerning our real condition in America-especially by the Church-is both appalling and horrifying. America is in serious trouble and it seems no one wants to say it. Fewer still are willing to do anything to change it.

Though I understand our reasons, we must be careful in our attempts to placate our feelings and calm our fears through religious phrases like "God is still on the throne" or "God has a plan". He was on His throne 35 years and 50 million babies ago. And He had a plan back then. The problem is, it was us. I understand our reasons for waving high the banner of God's sovereignty at times like these-it gives us hope. I will wave it, as well.
But please be careful with this. Too much emphasis on God's sovereignty and we're worthless; too little and we're hopeless. Maybe we should say, "we lost a critical battle but God will give us strategy to win the war." Then find the strategy.

But still yet, since God is usually willing to work through a remnant, I thought we had enough prayer. Obviously, God decided otherwise. There comes a time when He will not forgive or bless the majority based on the prayers or actions of only a few. America rejected God and asked for a king; I believe we now have our Saul (see 1 Samuel 8:5-7)-a man who does not have God's heart for America but his own. Like Israel in scripture, our nation believes it can turn from God and still be blessed. In His mercy and justice He will show us otherwise.

Like many, believing I had many promises and confirmations that God would "grace" us with a pro-life president in this election, I failed to consider strongly enough that all promises-even scripture-are conditional 99.9% of the time. Though I never prophesied or made guarantees that McCain-Palin would win, failing to factor this principle in strongly enough no doubt caused me to share my optimism with others inappropriately. If this caused any harm or confusion, I apologize.

Has the fact that my prayers weren't answered shaken my faith? No. I'm a little confused and discouraged. I'm also somewhat angry at the nation in general and much of the Church. Mostly I'm grieving over the nation and what this will cost us. I am not, however, angry with God and do not question His justice. And it is not true that we wasted our time, energy and money in our efforts anymore than it is a waste when we share the gospel with people who don't get saved. We must keep in the forefront of our thinking the fact that ultimately we are doing this for Him and that He will reward us for our faithfulness. And who knows, perhaps He will store up all those prayers for the next battle (Revelation 5:8, 8:3-5).

A friend and fellow warrior said it well,

"We did 'give it our all.' I know the Lord was pleased with that. A coach wants to know one thing at the end of a heartbreaking sports loss: 'Did you leave it all on the field?' (your passion, your commitment, your strength, your courage, etc.) I know that we 'left it all on the field.' We didn't hold anything back until the game ended. Tragically, it ended in defeat. We will rise for another day because Jesus is worthy."

Where Do We Go from Here?

Does this election outcome shake my faith that we can see a great awakening and ultimately reformation in America? Absolutely not (and it strengthens my resolve). We will simply get there through greater pain and loss. Even my passion to see the Supreme Court shift is not from a presupposition that there can be no spiritual awakening without it. It is simply due to my deep conviction that their decisions bring so much death, destruction, curses and judgment to America; and because our full destiny as a nation is unquestionably linked to their decisions. So, yes, we will get an awakening and reformation; but the reality is that this reformation of the nation will reform the Supreme Court (and government, in general), not vice-versa. My faith has never been in people or a political party; my faith is in the God who works through them.

I've been asked if my feelings about Sarah Palin have changed. They have not. I believe she is an Esther, a Deborah, with a huge mantle from God for reformation. God has a great destiny for her related to this nation if she chooses to continue down this path.

So, in conclusion, we must re-group as an apostolic, praying church and advance. We must maintain an immovable faith in God, His plans for America and His mercy. And we must move beyond simply asking God for a spiritual awakening and ask Him for strategy to produce reformation, as well. I, for one, am just getting started!

For God and this great nation,
Dutch Sheets

The fear that is seducing me is almost more than I can bare. It is a grievous thing that the sheep of America did on Tuesday, and I am ashamed to be associated with them. The lies of our newly elect will indeed be seen in due passage of time. I was not surprised however that the immoral and sinful nature of our collective American consciousness decided to sell our souls for empty promises. What was surprising was that the church, as usual, stood by and did NOTHING to stop it. We the elect, are fully to blame for our lack of power to change the course of the church and this nation. We have sold out to sin, compromised our faith and followed the traditions and practices of our forefathers while sin continues to dominate our One Nation Under God. Awake sleeping giant and get out of the pews and get out of the church buildings and into the streets and onto the doorsteps of the lost. Do the work of an evangelist. Raise the dead. Heal the sick. Follow in the footsteps of our savior before His footsteps wash away in the tides of change. We can, if we will but only try. Remember the mustard seed.
God save us all.

Pastor Mark I agree with you. But I will say there were thousands of Christian men and women who shouted to the masses don't vote for him, vote the bible, and were threatened with violence, by Christian; or should I say men and women who call themselves Christian.
I think the people who make up the church have not been fed correctly, but heard messages on blessings and anointing, potential and favor; all deception to steer them from the truth of the gospel which is Jesus; so much so that their eyes are not open to truth. And when confronted with this truth they become angry, so they take it out on the watchmen who shout aloud, stop, danger.

May grace and peace that surpasses understanding belong to us all.
In my book "Revolution" I wrote that the funny thing about revolution is that it revolves. It is as constant as change itself. It is the basis for the term "what comes around, goes around". Revolution is change in of itself. It is as though it is an integral part of evolution. Our church, which is the living and breathing organism which is Christ alive on Earth has been evolving, or re-evolving since it's creation at Calvary. It started as small as the mustard seed and and has grown exponentially ever since. It is in that rapid growth that we have seen the sins of man become manifest into all sorts of beasts. We have seen within the "Universal Church" alone many hundreds upon thousands of evolutions and revolutions that have given birth to saints and sinners alike by the millions. You don't need a PhD to see history repeating itself as the book of Revelation unfolds before our eyes.
It grieves my spirit to turn on the TV and see televangelists pimping the gospel for millions of dollars all the while on the next channel there are scenes of horror and strife as the news is revealed to us in real time via satellite as we watch children die in poverty and disease that we can afford to change. We elect government officials based on their political views and we watch them rise to power on popular issues and fall from grace due to popular demand. We Google the facts yet deny the truth that the church, if unified under one head that is Christ, could in one mighty roar, silence the voices of our enemy and pray down the powers and principalities and rulers of this dark age. We, the called and elect could with one voice herald the coming of Christ and put and end to sickness and disease forever. If we would but stand in the gap and shed our fear we could turn the tide and change history. It doesn't matter who wins this election, or looses that debate. What matters, the only thing that matters is that "The" church stops being sheep and starts being shepherds. If we would take up our cross and storm the gates of Hell, we can, and one day will win this war.
Yesterday the second in command of our nation's biggest enemy declared war on "Obama's United States" and it made but a byline in the U.S. media. I read on the BBC News that even the extremist Islamic factions that shed blood on our soil in '01 see our newly elect as a two faced turn coat who cannot be trusted. I don't care if our Pres Elect is black, white or purple. I don't care if his father is Muslim or Arian. I don't even care if he is Christian, Jewish or Buddhist. Nothing about our leadership concerns me in the least other than how they effect my right to worship my God and carry out His good and perfect will for my life, and the lives He has entrusted to me. This is our planet, given to us by it's creator. We Christians have been given total and complete stewardship of EVERYTHING within our master's dominion on Earth. It has been that way since book 1, chapter 1. If we allow the "Human Condition" to influence our stewardship responsibilities, then shame on us!
I beg your indulgence for a few moments. I'm no novelist but permit me to paint a picture, if you will?

More than 400,000 people marched on Washington D.C. this morning in a parade that began in Philadelphia, PA around 1 a.m yesterday morning with 20 Christian delegates. At nine p.m. e.s.t. the hordes of Christian delegates congregated at the The National Mall as the renown author and speaker Dr. Rev. Luscious Vanderhoven stepped on stage to announce his candidacy for presidency under the nomination of the Christian Patriot Party. The crowds applauded and cheered for almost fifteen minutes as they praised God and sang. Dr. Vanderhoven continued almost as though it was his inaugural victory speech. "I am humbled by this opportunity" he said to the near half million people in attendance, "and I pray God's wisdom upon us all as we lead this country and this planet to the fulfillment of our Christ mandated mission and destiny."
When asked why she would make such a long journey to show her support for Dr. Vanderhoven, Mrs. Lila Shamansky stated "It was the drive from San Diego that was tough. We broke down three times but it was worth it. We will finally have a real Christian president."
"We shall overcome, today. We will see the dead rise, the lame walk and the second coming of Christ in our lifetime." he concluded after the half hour long speech wherein he condemned the current political system and all of it's members for the" moral degradation and corruption they have brought upon us all."
When asked for comment, California Rep. James Allison (D) stated "it is a sad day for America when a crackpot preacher thinks he can run for President. Reminds me of Jesse Jackson, another embarrassing Christian experiment. He won't make it either". Rep. Marjorie Fisher (R) NV. was quoted as saying she might consider switching party affiliation. "I have dreamed of this day," she said, "when the church would unite and take a stand in this country. A stand for righteous living and a higher moral obligation."
Already this morning there are numerous reports coming in from all over the country as Christians are announcing their candidacies for various offices. From coast to coast we are seeing a hard right turn from school boards to the senate.
Political analysts see an interesting November ahead as the Righteous Right Wing takes flight in the political blood bath.

Fictional of course. Almost funny to think about it. But, what if? What if The Church got off it's backside and back onto it's knees and became the united body of Christ we are COMMANDED to be? What if we would stop nominating politicians and started nominating REAL Christians? I would without a second thought vote for my Sunday School teacher for School Board President. I would vote for my local Youth Pastor for Mayor. Without blinking I would vote for one of our deacons to be my congressman or congresswoman. That is the miraculous power we have in the Holy Spirit to have dominion over powers and principalities! It is not just our right as Americans, it is our duty as Americans to maintain "One Nation Under GOD, INDIVISIBLE, with Liberty and Justice FOR ALL! We have for far too long been divided by sins such as homosexuality, abortion, civil rights and a thousand other political issues that should never be issues to begin with. If the body of Christ would truly unite, we would see all these things grow strangely dim in the light of His glory.
Alas, it is unfortunate that when we look to the church for leadership, we get the same old, same old. Shepherds scared to tell us what we NEED to hear, substituting what we WANT to hear. We look to the church and we see televangelists instead of evangelists. We look at the church and we see apostasy and compromise instead of power and authority. We look at the church and we see a fading shadow of what we are called to be. Tradition and ritual have replaced miracles and prophesy.
I beg one more indulgence and then I'll stop for today.

Righteous Right Take Back The U.S.
In record numbers United States voters turned out to vote, setting a new record 91% voter turnout. Dr. Vanderhoven not only won the Presidential seat by a landslide victory over both his democratic and republican adversaries, the Christian Patriot Party won majority seats in both the Senate and House of Representatives.
Lawyers for both losing parties have already filed suits in the mostly democratically influenced Supreme Court and politicians across the country are calling on President Obama to invoke Martial Law in an attempt to debunk the election. Ousted politicians are accusing U.S. firm Microvote of fraud. Microvote who lowest bid contract to provide for the new online voting process passed into law last April that contributed to the record turnout. Many politicians and political analysts are telling any who will listen that Micrvote's CEO Richard Lansingfellow is a closet militant Christian who cannot be trusted with such an unbiased responsibility. Lansingfellow told reporters that "there is so much security in place. Our programmer's every line of code is scrutinized by a full panel of government analysts, there is no way we could possibly "fix" an election even if we were inclined to do so."
"We knew Doc' Vander' would make a strong showing, but winning 86% of the popular vote? No one expected that." one election official stated.
President Obama held a press conference last night when he refused to concede saying "It is clear that this new online voting system needs to be carefully scrutinized. I have called for forensic data pathology to be performed and the databases confiscated. The CIA's forensics lab in Quantico will oversee the investigation and I personally guarantee that this election, and the entire electoral process will be preserved and the real results will be forthcoming in the next few days."
The Vanderhoven campaign started celebrating as early as 5:00 p.m. yesterday as the landslide started to become self evident. "American's have chosen to unite and speak up in one loud voice and say enough, is enough." said Christian Patriot Party Chairwoman Melissa Delgado. "One Nation Under God will mean something again, and it will be the epitaph of partisan politics, media manipulation and moral decline in this country and around the world." she added.
Dr. Vanderhoven is expected to hold a news conference later today where his aids have said his focus will be on providing a continuity of municipal and federal services and a calling for all American's to remain peaceful and united. Speaking of course about the riots that started in many urban areas last night as election results began showing the impending victory for Vanderhoven.
Although National Guard troops have been deployed to many cities across the U.S. in attempts to quash any civil disturbances, injuries and property damages have been minimal as most U.S. citizens favor the outcome of the elections and the months preceding the elections have been surprisingly peaceful.
"This is what our country was founded on." said incumbent congresswoman Rev. Gidgy Stephanowicz. (CPP ) OH "After all, this country was carved out of the wilderness by religious pioneers trying to escape th.e control of a corrupt religious system in Europe. The Mayflower passengers were Christian refugees. "It's time we carve out a new resolve for morality and spiritual cleanliness." she added.

Fanciful and silly, right? Maybe so, but I can dream can't I?
Denominational differences of religious rituals, beliefs, mission statements and style of worship have for far too long been the cancer in our corporate body and it is time to seek the cure.
Denomination is just another work for division.

Thanks for letting me rant. I almost feel better. If it weren't for these rotten kidney stones. Maybe I'll run for President. Now wouldn't that be funny?

I know that some people don't care for Sarah Palin but I like her. She is the govener of my state, and she might run in the next presidential election.

I'd vote for her depending on her answer to the same question I ask of everyone who asks me for their support in any sort of public/political/social endeavor. It's a simple question that trips up even most so called zealous Christians. Even when I am asked to do speaking engagements or anything else, I ask this one simple question. Even when someone asks for my advice or for counsel in any area of their life, my immediate response is always the same. It is because the answer to this one simple question is the answer to the meaning of our lives, the universe and everything else. For someone to look into the darkest depths of their being and give an honest answer to this one simple question will reveal the true nature of their spiritual condition. In fact, when I preach or teach, no matter what the topic of the day might be, I always begin with this one simple question. All of humanity and the future of our species, our existence in the universe is solely and entirely woven into the fabric of creation itself based on the answer to this one simple question. Now that I have hopefully captured your complete curiosity into the meaning and answer of this one simple question, I beseech you to ask it of every professing Christian you know, or will ever know. Are you ready to know what this one simple question is?......

How many people have you led to Christ?

You absolutely cannot imagine the looks on the faces of my audience when I say good morning and then ask that one simple question and then just stand there silently waiting for a response. The looks of shock, fear, shame and absolute dread are nothing short of horrific. Almost to the point of being humorous, if it weren't so pathetic. Ever since I started preaching with this one simple question, I have never once prepared a sermon in advance. I don't need to. When that one simple question is asked and the response that is always the same follows, the service is always taken over by the Holy Spirit. When the deceptions of the Sunday Morning Christian are brought under the microscope of Christ, the gloves come off and the gates of Hell magically appear right there on holy ground. It's funny how after a few minutes of silence after asking that one simple question the tears start to gently appear and roll down the embarrassed cheeks of first one, then another until nearly everyone in attendance begins to see the point. Once the gates of Hell are opened, the plundering starts and the battle rages. It is amazing while at the same time heart breaking to see the vast multitudes of professing Christians who not only fail to follow in the footsteps of Christ, but have never been taught how to witness, disciple or even know that they have the responsibility to do so. Like sheep they are led to the slaughter by the very shepherds who have been given charge over them.
Matthew 10:32 To everyone, then, who gives witness to me before men, I will give witness before my Father in heaven. 33 But if anyone says before men that he has no knowledge of me, I will say that I have no knowledge of him before my Father in heaven.

How many people have you led to Christ?

Go ahead, flip YOUR coin because yours is a one sided coin where you are always right. That is what you want to hear..but it is lie.

Romans Chapter 1. Take a read... I am constantly amazed how people push their own ways and sin into doctrine in order to please their flesh. Homosexuality is an abomination to the Lord and you will be held accountable for your false teaching. Flipping your one sided coin will always make you the "winner" and self righteous in your mind.

Those who have EARS let them HEAR...We will contend for the FAITH

I rebuke you in Jesus Name!

Wow! He has been deceived. His data means nothing but to someone who is gleaning from demonic sources in order to prove his wrong thinking on this subject, it may have a desired effect.

1Tim.1:10-11 Here, Paul says homosexuals defile themselves with mankind, and that to do so is contrary to sound doctrine. We know then that any minister who attempts to persuade men to believe that homosexuality an acceptable lifestyle before the Lord is a liar, teaching what is contrary to sound doctrine in Christ.

Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

The hire of a whore, that is, the money she gets for whoring, and the price of a dog, that is, of the Sodomite prosititute, pimp, or whoremaster, the money he gets by his lewd and villainous practices, no part of it shall be brought into the house of the Lord, for this is what the Gentiles offered in their temples for vows.

You are wrong and you are teaching wrong and you are accountable for all who you deceive and lead astray. Homosexuality is a sin against God. You have been told. I pray that you will hear this rebuke.

Hahahahah!
You wrote: Right or wrong; scholars wrote your English Bibles, and the Catholic Bibles, and the Jewish Bibles, the language translations.

Your bible. I receive that, it appears its not your bible however since you don't believe as the bible says, that every word of scripture is God-breathed and profitable 2 Timothy 3:16

The oldest known copy of any part of the new testament is a fragment of a verse of John, found and dated somewhere 125 to 140 AD. It was written around 90. By the end of the new testament era we had entire gospels written without pages missing or torn.
These documents became weathered over time and scribes were used to rewrite them as the pages became old and worn. Jews still do this today when a scroll becomes old a worn. The writers made every effort to maintain the same wording and useage as it was intended to be because they understood "a text can not mean what it is never meant to mean." They knew the importance of writing things word for word as it was first spoken.

The earilest books come from the mid second century when a list of new testament book began to emerge.
By the time we reached the 4th and 5th centuries we find complete or virtually complete new Testaments that had been copied with their original intent, and passed on once again, the cycle continued.

Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

This speaks of a covenant in a way that did not chacterize the old way. It suggests in the writing that God's new way (Testament) would be by the written word. That the revelation of God to Jesus, the apostles and the church would take on a written form.
Jesus promised to go away and send the Holy Ghost, for this reason it is theologically the concept of a new covenant in a written collection of books.

What you have done however is become distracted. Anything that distracts us from a relationship with God is not of God. Anything that distracts from the integrity and simplicity of your walk with God is not of God.

The enemy has blinded you and pulled you off course, he has you trying to serve God and dispute God's word at the same time, now thats crazy, and not only that, he has you attempting to do the same to others.

And ye shall be as gods he said. You will have all kinds of knowledge, but all knowledge is not Godly knowledge.

The bottom line is homosexuality is sin. Now to take it to the New Testament. Jesus never said that Homosexaulity is wrong, but since it is a form of fornication, and Jesus said all who committ adultery and fornication will have their part in the lake of fire, it too is mentioned in an indirect sense.

Amen, brother it is a relief to hear another rightly dividing the word of truth and recognizing that all of the Bible is God breathed and God inspired.

In Jude we are told to contend for the faith and so I join ranks with you to diffuse error and stand for the truth, it is the truth that sets us free! God bless you.

Keeping abortion legal, with oversight by all the laws and regulations (and therefore the accountability) that all other health care institutions have to abide by, will save more lives than it will take. Because abortions will continue whether it's legal or not.

So, keep it legal - and keep the back-alley butchers out of business.
