The above picture is of the women of the the evangelical Indians accused ands sentenced falsely for the 1997 Massacre at Acteal of 45 Zapatisita mostly women and children. We visited them and left small gifts for their children, and they sang us a hymn in Tzeltal.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, just wanted to let you know that we did receive our certification 2 weeks ago from VOM/ICA as the new mission office in Mexico. We are the office who knows at first hand what ishappening and has happened in Latin America, and the dangerous tendencies that are developing. My advantage is that I'm the only one out of the Costa Rican and Mexican teams who speaks English. I wil lbe in the States in April, doing a cross country bus trip... I should be going up to Jackman Maine on the Quebec border where I have a piece of property, and then work my way back to Mazatlan, Mexico, then Chiapas... and Central America. If anyone is interested in sponsoring a conference / workshop of VOM with inside information on the situation in Latin America please let me know. I am the Co-founder and International Representive, and you can check my references with VOMC CEO Glenn Penner, or VOM/USA with Tom White. I am bilingual, and would love to schedule workshops with both English and Spanish speaking congregations. You may contribute with an offering, lodging, and meals. Ask me for more information. I will schedule my trip in accordance with the response I receive on various networks! Looking forward to meeting some of you. On this trip I won-t make it to New Zealand, Dave, or to Ireland. We have a dozen mirroe ning sites set up, in English and Spanish, and I've had to make several trips to the states....I miss my connections on each ning site...but have had to concentrate specifically on the ministry needs. Thank you for your interest and prayers...hope to get more ingormation up. There is a new video on VOM Canada they made after their visit in December...and a video to be brought out in April. Really good work...hope you will check them out. God bless, Linda

Those who released were forced by the state governmentt to sign papers that they would NEVER return to their ancestral lands to avoid confrontations with the Zapatistas.

Thirty three+ of our evangelical brothers in Christ have lost 11 years of their lives so far, and will have to serve another 15 years, if justice is not attained for them, and the families they left behind. Please pray for all those who were victimized by the MASSACRE IN ACTEAL (CHIAPAS): the survivors, the falsely accused, and their families left behind.

PRAYER FOR MISSING CHILDREN,
Lord Jesus, You are Lord over all the earth. There is no one who can challenge Your love or authority. You gave Yourself for the salvation of men, and are now seated at the right hand of the Father.
(YES LORD) ( AGREE IN AS READING)
Lord, I ask that You would extend Your sovereign hand over the, MISSING CHILDREN all over the world and USA . You said in Your word that just as You blessed me, you would bless THE CHILDREN. I embrace that promise, and ask that You would cover THE MISSING CHILDREN with the same blessings of mercy and forgiveness that You have shown to me.

I take my authority as YOUR Daughter , and I bind the spirits of darkness that have been assigned to harass the children and distract them from the love of Christ. I proclaim that she/he has been bought with the blood of Christ and no one but Jesus has any claim to his/her life. I command all spirits of darkness to stand back, and do not hinder his/her from coming to Jesus Christ almighty lord. For Jesus once said, "Do not hinder the children from coming to me."

Comment by Linda Alegria / avoiceforothers on July 4, 2008 at 9:07pm: Persecution in Mexico is normally seen in the states where there are indigena peoples...Chiapas, Oaxaca, Michoacan, Hidalgo, Guerrero, Jalisco, Nayarit where the traditional Catholic believers (a blend of old pagan/Indian practices and folklore Catholicism or Catholocism mexican style) are afraid of any change in the identity of their group, or the staus quo. Since Saints days and catholic festivals are part of the village daily life, evangelical believers who no longer want to pay for or participate in the activities are a very real problem to the economy of the tribe, and a threat to maintaining their customs as they are used to. So the new evangelical believers are threatened first and then the water and lights are cut, their children are threatened and then expelled from their public schools, and then they threaten to expel them from their tribes and take away their ancestral lands. Most people are not aware of what is happening or the scale on which it is happening. We are going to change that...please stand by us in prayer, and help us to spread the word...We are ground floor on this...you will have the blessing of helping us to start out...Gods bless...Linda
