I'm 43 and happily married, and living in Las Vegas. I have two daughters, on grandson, and another grandchild on the way. I'm an Ames student, and I attend a foursquare church. LOL, and I'm lousy at figuring out what to say on these things.

march 28th

well, i got some more news yesterday. my youngest daughter, ashlea, is ALSO pregnant. ashlea is the mother of my grandson... and now will be giving her little boy a new brother or sister. it's kinda neat in a way, that both of my daughters are pregnant at the same time!

One prayer answered, one to go!

just returned from california... my daughter had an ultrasound yesterday to determine the status of her cyst, and it's GONE, completely!

her next ultrasound is on april tenth, at which point we will learn whether it is a boy or girl. again, prayers are needed about this, because the name she and her husband have chosen for a boy is daemon ree, which means "demon king". i know that God will triumph... whether He chooses to give her a son or a daughter, He will not give me a grandchild named demo… Continue

gosh, i don't know if i'll keep this up or not. but i thought i'd start one anyway.

God has been really, really good to me lately. it wasn't so long ago that i was just skating by with my relationship with Christ... the extent of my daily bible reading was relegated to looking up passages on bible gateway in order to refute something someone else said on a christian message board i belong to. i acted all holier-than-thou as though my ability to use a search tool on a web-based bible made me sma… Continue

At 12:07am on May 9, 2010, Jesus Christ Is Lord of All said…: Ephesians 2:20, says, "We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do what? Good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." In short, this verse, and others like it, tells us that we were not made just to take. We were made to contribute. God intends for each of us to make a difference in this world.

God has given wonderful blessings to each of us and we are called to give back by doing good works, by serving others in His name. So, "What matters is not how long you live, but how you live. What matters is not the duration of your life, but the donation of your life. The Bible says we're created to serve, we're saved to serve, we're gifted to serve, we're shaped to serve. We're commanded to serve God back."

And that's what Raymond Lee Jennings was doing serving, He served in the National GUARDS, He Served Twice in Iraq. He was serving as a security Guard that night. I am currently separated (read the whole sad saga at Scott's discussion page) and am currently struggling with what to do next and what the state of my soul and relationship with God will be if a divorce is the ultimate outcome. That's not what I want, but I can only control me, right?

Anyway, I printed the study out and will 'work' it later today so that I can see for myself what the Bible says in the context of the study. I got lost in the discussion (this is a controversial subject, of course) and was very impressed that you held your own. In a time of such confusion in my life, it was refreshing to see a woman who has it together (I know, I know, but you know how I mean that!) and has the courage of her convictions. Your comments on restoration were comforting and thought-provoking.

Please know this - regardless of the outcome, I now feel as a direct result of your comments and Scriptural backup that I will be okay with my God. I can't thank you enough for that.
